All right Blues fans- you asked for it here it is!
I'm going to let you in on a little known Washington secret, a small local Blues club on Connecticut Ave NW (across from the Zoo)that has a Blues jam for local Blues enthusiasts every thurs. nite from 8:30 to 12:30pm. As well as live blues bands Fri.& Sat. nites 10 to 2am. As the Owner and Bartender most thurs.nites I would be happy to host a meet up of Blues lovers every thurs.or once a month, whatever the group wants. There is no cover charge and no fee to join.
We can start with the premiere Blues Jam Meetup on Thurs.Sept.13th at 8:00. I would appreciate if someone will volunteer to act as a co-host, as I can get busy behind the bar.
This is a laid back atmosphere with blues lovers of all ages, many over 30. There is a host band ( The infamous Big Boy Little Band)which starts out the first set then the jammers join in. If you love the Blues and want to meet local blues musicians and Blues lovers or just want a reason to get out,come on in.You will be surprised at the talent that comes in.
